Valentine’s Day Kiss Countdown: Kiss #1

Valentine’s Day Kiss Countdown: Kiss #1

Today we’ve come to the last day and last kiss of the Valentine’s Day Kiss Countdown!

There have been an assortment of different couples that have made an appearance in the countdown, but for Kiss #1 I thought I would feature a couple that you will all probably recognize. 😉

What better couple could represent the last kiss in the countdown than Christian and Ana from the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy! What moment they shared fits Valentine’s Day better, than their wedding day! Since the decision seemed pretty clear cut, it was easy for me to make them the featured couple for Kiss #1! 🙂

Their wedding was presented in Fifty Shades Freed as a sort of dreamy flashback sequence as Ana lounged on the beach during her honeymoon. A quite appropriate method, seeing that Ana and Christian’s relationship progressed very quickly, and it probably felt very dreamlike to the both of them. They had experienced so much, and so many things in their lives had changed in the short time since Ana fell into Christian’s office that one rainy afternoon… 😉

I hope you enjoyed the countdown!

Happy Valentine’s Day! ♡

PERFECTION. The best way to end this countdown is with this kiss because, for me is the sweetest and cutest and most romantic kiss in the hole serie. A good way to celebrate this day.

    Happy Valentine’s Day, Victoria.

Victoria, Victoria, Victoria. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙂

This illustration is by far my absolute favourite of all your illustrations, which is pretty hard considering how much I love your all work. But this piece is so beautiful, so loving, my heart just melts looking at Christian & Ana engage in a kiss on their wedding day. I love how they’re holding hands, I love how she positions her neck to kiss him. Her hair is lovely & that gown is gorgeous. The colours are also beautiful. And how you manage to draw the city in the background is beyond me.

I love the detail in Christian’s tie (THAT tie) and the grass and the flowers and the water. Everything about this illustration is simply beautiful & stunning. Breathtaking!

Congratulations on your countdown, I can only imagine the hard work you’ve put into drawing each of them. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent.

Oh my gosh, Nellie! I’m just so happy that you enjoyed this illo! 🙂

I’m so pleased to hear that you have a favorite out of all the illos and sketches, and appreciate it so much that you’ve checked them all out! But I am especially pleased to hear how closely you looked at this particular piece! Wow! I’m so happy that you enjoyed even the tiniest of details! 😀

The countdown was quite a challenge, but that is why I decided to tackle it in the first place. 😉 It is my pleasure as always, and I thank you so much for all of the absolutely lovely things you’ve said. 🙂

I have totally loved all your FSOG pictures! (I think my favorite HAS to be Christian’s facial expression when he opens the key chain.) Your analysis of some of the scenes in the book are insightful and gave me something new and deeper to get out of them. (I cite the ‘champagne in teacups’ scene.) But HOW did you come up with this dress? I am not kidding when I tell you, the dress you put Ana in in this picture IS the dress I wore twenty one and a half years ago on my wedding day! I wish I could send you a picture!
    Keep up the wonderful work!

I am so pleased to hear that you’ve enjoyed what you’ve seen on my site! 😀 Thank you so much! I had fun working on Christian’s confused and bewildered face on that particular piece, I must admit 😉 Wow! Really great to hear that you actually get something out of my ramblings as well! ;D

As far as the dress, I did a few rough sketches before deciding on the final result. I looked at different dresses on the web but nothing resembled anything that I had in my head, so I just went for it! That is incredible that it resembles your actual wedding dress! 😀

Thanks again for your kind comments and for visiting and saying hello! More illos to come soon… 😉
