Asparagus as a weapon

Not everyone has read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy by E L James (quite yet) so I don’t want to spoil anything when I post illustrations. So, this particular sketch may seem odd to someone that has not finished the first book. Let’s just say it’s a short moment between Ana and Christian, but I thought it would be a fun sketch to do. If you haven’t finished the first book…stop reading here!

Okay.

Now, if you have read the first book, you would know that even though it’s a very small moment, it was just one of several small instances where Ana asserts herself a little bit! I thought it was amusing how she was frustrated with Christian at his use of seduction as a weapon, so Ana tried to think of something to give him a taste of his own medicine. Ana is well aware of her inexperience, but simply used what tools she had on hand…her unfinished dinner.  Seduction with asparagus–can’t say she isn’t creative!

It certainly seemed to work on Mr. Grey.
